Cliff was born November 6, 1963 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Samuel, Sr. and Lillian Holder.

Cliff had a love of fishing, playing chess and dominoes, history, seeing new places, and fixing anything broken. Cliff’s biggest love of all was his family. He worried about his family, and he wanted to take care of everyone, and fix everyone’s problems. He always dreamed of having a building to be able to work with all of the children in the family. He wanted a place where they could all come together, and he could tutor them, and teach them new skills. Cliff is lovingly remembered as being kind-hearted and giving. Cliff also had a special love for any I.U. Sports.

Cliff graduated from George Washington High School in 1981, and then served in the United States Army from 1981 – 2001. Following his retirement from the Army, Cliff worked for the Hillsborough County Sherriff’s Department in Tampa, FL before returning to Indianapolis to be close to family. He worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital. He was also previously employed at Honda.

Clifford Holder, 57, went to be with God on Monday, January 18, 2021, at his Fort Wayne, Indiana home. Cliff was preceded in death by both his parents Samuel, Sr. and Lillian, sisters Laura May, Sandra (Squeaky), and Mary (Baby Sis).
