Cleovis Irene (Carmichael) Raney, 90 of Bloomington passed away June 9, 2012 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. Born April 10, 1922 in Greene County she was the daughter of Albert H. and Ola E. (Martindale) Carmichael.
Cleovis was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family. She was a longtime member of the Westside Assembly of God.
Cleovis married Claude C. Raney on September 9, 1939 and they were blessed with five daughters, LyVon Treadway, Kathleen Conner (Dale), Judy Dixon (Bud), Claudette Bell and Hope McCullough (Bill) all of Bloomington, twelve grandchildren, Pam Ratliff, Rick (Jenny) Conner, Brian Daniel, Kevin Treadway, Missy Newton (Tony), David Conner, Angie Jordan, Donnie Bell (Stacy), Colin Bourne, Cameron McCullough, McKenzi McCullough, and Camden McCullough, thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude C. Raney (August 2010), her parents and her step-mother, Mamie Carmichael.
