Cleo L. Thayer the son of Frank and Mary E. Witcraft Thayer was born September 20, 1926 in Nuckolls County, Nebraska near Nora. He departed this life on Monday November 27, 2017 at the Harvard Rest Haven at the age of 91 years.
Cleo was a veteran of World War II serving with the United States Army. On June 10. 1962 Cleo was united in marriage to Ruth Carriker at the Methodist Church in Harvard, NE. Cleo and Ruth moved to a farm near Nora, NE where they remained and farmed for many years until moving to the Harvard House in June of 2010.
Cleo is preceded in death by his parents and wife Ruth on May 3, 2011.
Cleo is survived by his step children: Bernice McCorqudale of Lake Charles, LA and Donald Mohlman of Topeka, KS; grandchildren: Jay Schrnier, Brenda Negri, Clayton Mohlman, 5 great grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
