Those left to honor Pete’s memory are his wife, Connie of Newton; 5 children, Barbara “Punky” (and David) Oswalt, Alisha Hesse, Jarrod (and Candice) Hesse, Jason Hesse, and Chyanna Hesse, all of Newton; his 16 grandchildren, Katherine (Levi), Joshua, Madison, Taylor, Vincent, Akasha, Larry, Shanielle, Nytasha, Marissa, Mackenzie, Cameron, Damien, Zoey, Autumn, and Willow; 1 great-grandchild on the way; his 2 brothers, Joe (and Signa) Hesse of Newton, David (and Linda) Hesse of Seymour; sister, Betty (and Larry) Reavis; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Aubrey and Virgil; 2 brothers in infancy; and a sister, Elizabeth.
Pete was a truck driver for many companies including Wehrle Trucking and Bisom Trucking.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1655 and was the Senior Vice Commander.
