Clay Edward Hardin, 68, of North East, MD, passed away Monday, October 18, 2010 at the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. Born in Grafton, WV, August 30, 1942 he was the son of the late Beryl and Mary Belle (Richman) Hardin. He was a Truck Driver for over 40 years, driving for Edgermoor Materials, James Julian, Daisey Trucking and Alger Oil. His pickup, “Precious” and dump truck “707” were very special to him. He enjoyed talking and drinking coffee at the Chuck Wagon and was proud to be one of the “Hill Top Gang”. He had accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Survivors include his devoted companion: Carol A. Gebhardt of North East, MD; his son, Ricky E. Hardin and companion Rachel Russell of Elkton, MD; twin brother, Clyde E. Hardin and his wife Sue of Arden, WV; one sister; Janet Leeanne Malone and husband Ed of Elkton, MD; sister-in-law, Shirley Newlon of Grafton, granddaughter, Misty Ann Hardin of Elkton, MD; stepdaughters, Annette R. Sexton and husband Carl of North East, MD, Carol Ann McDaniel and husband Guy of Edgewood, MD, Tina M. Londen of North East, MD and Michelle Ricke and husband Artie of Baltimore, MD; six step-great grandchildren who were very special to him, one aunt, Norma Harden, of Grafton; two uncles, Andrew Hardin, of Baltimore, MD, and E. Klayde Richman, of Parkersburg, WV, four very special nieces, Cindy Wallace, Buffy Taylor, Angelia Elliott, Paula Zirkle. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Lee Hardin and Michael Hardin.
