Claude L. Kreger Sr., 89, of Freeport died February 4, 2013 at FHN Memorial Hospital, Freeport.
Born January 9, 1924 in Whitewater, WI he was the son of Ernest and Emma Kreger. He was a veteran of the United States Army. On June 29, 1963 he and Dorothy Grunder were united in marriage at St. Paul Church of Epleyanna. Claude enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and sitting on his deck watching the cars go by. He is survived by his wife Dorothy of Freeport, three daughters Teresa (Evan Gooden) Kreger of Freeport, Jeanine (Erik) Lemieux of Freeport, Betty (Roy) Flora of Houston, TX; one son Claude Kreger Jr. of Joplin, MO; 13 grandchildren, ten great grandchildren many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers Donald, Clifford, Russell and four sisters Viola, Hazel, Ella, Inez.
