Claude Feagan Wade, 85, of Nineveh, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016, in Nineveh. He was born on April 4, 1931, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, to his parents Claude Davis and Gladys (Feagan) Wade. He married Veda (Tyson) Wade in Madisonville, Ky. on June 20, 1959.
He was an Entomologist and worked, as an apiarist, for the Department of Natural Resources, for the State of Indiana. He also was an army veteran, achieving the rank of Tech Sargent. He served in the Korean War between the years of 1953-1956, he also served in the National Guard for 8 years. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky with his masters. Claude was a member of the Nineveh Christian Church, the Johnson County Garden Club, the Trafalgar Country Gardeners, and was a Master Gardener. He enjoyed writing articles for the Outdoor Indiana Magazine and the Garden Club. He also enjoyed fishing, bee keeping, photography, and was a wildlife enthusiast. He enjoyed serving the Lord, by going on short-term mission trips.
Claude is survived by his wife of 57 years, Veda Wade of Nineveh, three children, Karyn (Marion) Hakes of Franklin, C. Michael Wade, and Susan (Paul) Anderson, both of Nineveh, four grandchildren, Christopher Hakes, Jacob, Luke, and Rachel Anderson all of Nineveh, and two nephews, David (Susan) Chiles and Mike (Wanda) Chiles, both of Georgetown, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Ann Chiles
