Clari Blanche Cartwright Lyles passed away on September 24, 2016. Clari was the youngest daughter of Herman E. and Klara Roberts Cartwright, born in New Castle, Pennsylvania, on October 14, 1926. She was predeceased by her husband of more than 60 years, Charles Gayton (Buck) Lyles, her eldest daughter, Yvonne Lyles Minner Eppolito, son-in-law, William R. (Bill) Eppolito and sister, Dawn Cartwright Fones. Clari is survived by her children, Charles Lyles and Pam, Beth Lyles Howell and Randy, Janie Lyles Rich and John, grandchildren Ron Minner and Eileen, Sherri Minner and Ray, Kathryn Rich, Zachary Rich, great granddaughter Erin Minner, a brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. After the death of her father in 1942, Clari moved with her mother and sister to Northern Virginia. Clari worked in a bank and met Buck on a blind date arranged by a co-worker and after about a year of dating, they married on August 24, 1947. Later, Clari worked as a bookkeeper for a medical practice in Alexandria until she and Buck retired in 1987 to Spotsylvania County. Clari was an avid reader and crossword puzzle solver until macular degeneration robbed her of her sight. Clari was a positive and spiritual person and always saw the best in everyone. We cherish our memories of her and will miss her every day.
