Clarence W. Nevland, 88, Anderson, died June 16, 2003 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after an extended illness. He was born August 19, 1914 in Payne, Ohio, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. He was an Anderson resident since 1946. He was office manager and regional sales representative for Motor Freight Transportation for 35 years. He was a member of Fifth Street United Methodist Church for 50 years. He was a 50 year member of Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge. He was a former member of the Rotary Club. The youngest of eleven brothers and sisters, he was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 59 1/2 years, Carmen Johnstone Nevland, whom he married November 14, 1943 in Ohio; two daughters, Margaret Nevland at home and Deborah & husband Tom Ecker of Anderson; very special grandson, Michael T. Ecker & companion Kris Martin of Anderson; several loving nieces and nephews; son-in-law, Mike York; faithful friends, John Brown and Ron Davenport He was preceded in death by his parents Stephen & Clara White Nevland, daughter, Barbara York in 1999, seven sisters and three brothers.
