Major Clarence F. Thomas, Jr., age 89 of Birmingham, AL passed away on October 13, 2010. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. He was a32 degree Mason (Birmingham Temple Lodge) and was a member of the Eastern Star. He was with the QB’s Pilot Club. He served in WWII and the Korean War with the U.S. Air Force. He was a USAF (SAC) representative to the United Kingdom for the Air Traffic Control, after retiring from the USAF after 23 years of service he was a pilot for South Central Bell, Jetco, and UAB Air Ambulance. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Erslyne Thomas; daughter, Tracye Miller (Mike); sister, Jeanette Thomas; grandchildren, Savannah Miller and Jenna Miller; numerous other family members.
