Clarence L. Stein, Jr., 72, of Aurora, passed away on September 3, 2012 in Denver. He was born in Chicago, IL on February 14, 1940 to Clarence, Sr. and Dorothea (Hunter) Stein. He graduated from High School in Chicago and continued his education at the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL. He joined the US Navy and served his country for six years. It was during that time that he married Suzuko Yano on December 12, 1966 in Fukuoka, Japan.
He lived in Littleton and Aurora for the majority of his life and was a pilot for Continental Airlines for 34 years, retiring in February 2000. Clarence was a “lifelong pilot” who started flying as a teenager. He loved to camp and enjoyed traveling, especially in the Western United States and to many National Parks.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Suzuko, of Aurora; son, Jeff (Lyrra) Stein of Brighton; sister, Dorothea Spritzer of Kansas City, MO and five grandchildren.
