Clarence Jacob “Shorty” Squires 78, of Morgantown passed onto heaven, Wednesday, July 7, 2010 from his home where he was surrounded by family. He was born in Newburg on November 3, 1931 a son of the late Norman Pete and Merle (Herron) Squires. Shorty was a mechanic who specialized in radiators. He loved old cars and working on them.
He is survived by one daughter Penny Dailey and husband Rick; two brothers James Coulson of Morgantown and Tom Coulson and wife Jean of Bridgeport; six grandchildren Amanda June Dailey, Donna Cahill, Kelly Johnson, Cindy High, Mark Blaney, and Chad Blaney; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife June (Smith); two stepsons David and James Blaney; three brothers Norman Pete Squires, Jr., William Coulson, and John Coulson; two sisters Rosa Mains and Elvira Dorn; and his step-father William H.
