Clara M. Stover, 82, of Anderson, passed away on June 21, 2017 at her residence. She was born on April 7, 1935 in Tennessee and resided most of her life in Anderson. She retired from the Anderson Mattress Factory. She was a member of Lake Street Baptist Church.
She loved being with her family, especially spending time with her great-granddaughters. She was very involved in her church. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends Doris, Jeanette and JoAnn.
Clara is survived by her daughter, Phyllis (Michael) Chapin; grandchildren, Chrissy (Troy) Guthrie, Marcus Chapin, David Chapin; great-granddaughters, Sophie Guthrie, and Charlotte Guthrie; brother-in-laws, Charlie Dixon, and Jerry Stover, sister-in-law, Gerlene Winningham; several nieces and nephews, special friends, Jim and Cindy Crume and their children, Chris (Autumn), Liz (Nate), and their son Grayson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Stover, sisters, Bea Dixon and Vera Coffey; mother, Rosa Lee Allred; father, Claude Allred; and her dear friend, Betty Litchfield.
