Muncie-Clara J. Kidd, 97, passed away Tuesday evening, October, 11, 2011, at the Liberty Village Health Care Center following a brief illness. She was born on, August 4, 1914, in Newton, Illinois, the daughter of Leo H. and Hattie M. (Williams) Horn.
Ms. Kidd had worked for Durham Manufacturing, Muncie Egg and Poultry and later for various restaurants in the area. The last one being Franks Barbecue as a waitress and many other positions she held while in employed by them. Clara is a former member of the Eagles Lodge #231 and enjoyed doing crochet and being out doors. She really enjoyed cleaning and it was said she was considered fanatical about it.
She is survived by a sister, Betty Chapman (husband-Kyle), Muncie; a brother, Howard B. Horn, Muncie; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Ms. Kidd is preceded in death by her parents, and several brothers and sisters.
