Clara Hieb, 84, passed away on August 20th, 2017. Clara was born July 25th, 1933 in Rupert to Max and Erminia Bonadiman. On April 12, 1950 she married Edwin Hieb of Zeeland, North Dakota in Reno, Nevada.
Eventually they settled on a farm north of Rupert and raised a family of four. Mom was very devoted and proud of her family and always found a way to make sure we had what we needed to face the day. She enjoyed country music, a good polka and trips to Jackpot. Our wounded prides prevented it at the time but she did catch an awful lot of fish on our trips to Little Wood – within legal limits of course! In her later years she became quite the reader ranging from Harry Potter to her favorite, Hemingway’s The Old Man and the Sea which she read at least once a year.
She is survived by her two sons Rocky Hieb of Seattle, Washington and Rick (Stacy) Hieb of Burley; Five grandchildren Casi (Shawn) Millspaugh, Wesley R (Carly Jon) Hieb, Brandy (Kyle) Takac, Kiara Hieb and Dackotah (Josh) Asher; Eight great-grandchildren Nathan (Alex) Sparks, Lee (Makenzie) Sievers, Hayli Sievers, Dereck Millspaugh, Bailey Millspaugh, Amelia Takac, Bennett Takac and Zander Asher; Two great-great grandchildren Rowan Sparks and Kieran Sparks.
She is preceded in death by her husband Edwin, daughter Sherri (Mazel) Hammond, son Randy Hieb, granddaughter Candi (Jim) Sievers, siblings Rudy (Grace) Bonadiman and Ann (William) Lindsay.
