Esther Moreland, 80, of Huntington,, IN, died at Parkview Huntington Hospital, Tuesday, June 24, 2008 (7:32 PM) Mrs. Moreland was born February 11, 1928 in Morgan County IN to Gilbert W. and Ruth Smith (Stierwalt) Sink. Her parents preceded her in death. Mrs. Moreland married William (Bud) Moreland on December 25, 1948 at the First Presbyterian Church in Martinsville, Indiana with Rev. Joseph McDonald presiding. Mr. Moreland survives and resides in Huntington, IN. Mrs. Moreland was a Homemaker.
She was a graduate of Martinsville High School, Class of 1945 and a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Huntington, Indiana. She was a volunteer at the church and worked on election boards in Auburn, IN, serving as precinct vice-chairman. She especially enjoyed her grand-children, reading and sewing.
Survivors include: 2 Sons: Randy G. (Carla) Moreland, Greensburg, IN and Ricky C. (Rita) Moreland, Nashville, TN. 1 Daughter, Deborah Lynn Fleischman, Los Angelus, CA and 1 Step-Son Steven G. (Theresa) Cordes, Brownsburg, Indiana 5 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren. 1 Brother: Gary Sink, Huntington, IN. Preceded in death by: 1 Grandson: David Moreland. 5 Brothers: Raymond, Lee, Kenneth, Keith and Eugene Sink. 2 Sisters: Christine Rutledge and Evelyn Ritter.
