Claire M. (Lawler) Verrecchio ended her long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease Wednesday, September 19, 2012. Born in Philadelphia, she grew up in the St. Henry’s section and later became a longtime resident of Burlington County prior to moving to Florida in 2006. She was a bookkeeper until her retirement. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who touched the lives of many with her outgoing “crazy” personality. She had a great sense of humor, loved spending time with her grandchildren and their friends as they grew up and her house was always known for their parties.

Claire, known for always dressing to the nines often in shades of her favorite color purple, loved shopping, watching football, fishing, sunning in her pool, the beach in Wildwood, Disney and many a glass of white wine. She celebrated her Irish heritage every year on “her” holiday, St. Paddy’s Day. Predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Anthony Verrecchio, Jr., her parents, Francis and Clara Lawler, her sister, Theresa Gause and her infant grandsons Mark and Matthew Gavio, she leaves to cherish her memory and will be sadly missed by her daughter Joyce Gavio (Mike Tomlinson) of Burlington, NJ and her son Gary (Teresa) Verrecchio of Lakeland Fl., two grandchildren, Michael (Shelly) Gavio of Marlton, NJ and Jill Gavio-Stillwagon of Mt. Laurel, NJ and her 6 great grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Lily, Jenna, Grace and Benjamin.

A viewing will be observed at Page Funeral Home, Burlington, NJ, Wednesday, September 26th from 7 to 9 PM with a Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi Church in Willingboro, NJ, Thursday, September 27th at 10:00AM. Interment will follow the mass at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Burlington, NJ.
