Clair James Garner
Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Clair James Garner, passed away on January 5, 2014. He was born on December 30, 1929 to F. James and Norma Berrett Garner in Ogden, Utah. He married ValDeane Gibby in May of 1953 in the Salt Lake Temple. She later passed away in 1999. He then married Marilyn Bowman in 2000 in the South Jordan Temple.
Clair proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served an LDS Mission to the Western States. Clair received his Bachelor’s Degree from BYU. He retired from McKay Dee Hospital.
He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, camping, fishing and especially spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Kevin, Kelly, Karen and Kristine; step-children, Kathy, Vickey and Jodi; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald (Mary Lou) Garner and Del (Carol) Garner; and sister, Jenell (Keith) Geilman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, ValDeane.
