Honoring a man who lived a remarkable 99 years…. how does one even do that? Probably not adequately, but it feels important to try.
He bravely fought for our country and was injured in battle in WWII. He was a patriot and the world was blessed by his sacrifice.
He married his high school sweetheart, Katharine Kane, and they raised 8 amazing kids together.
He was a photographer, a self-proclaimed handy man, a bargain shopper and a lover of corn curls (aka Cheetos) and Whiskey Old Fashions. He loved flirting with ladies and charmed them with his well-known “devilish grin”. He made us laugh, he made us cry, and most importantly he taught us what family means and how to love one another well. Dad, we love you and will miss you dearly. We are comforted in knowing you were ushered into the gates of Heaven with open arms and shouts of joy, your Creator and your wife Kathy by your side. We can’t wait to see you both again someday. All our love sweet man, your loving family.
We cannot thank the Staff enough at Plantation Place Assisted Living, Boise ID, for the love and incredible care they gave to him over the last 15 years. We would also like to thank the amazing staff from Signature Hospice who cared for him so well.
