SALEM – Clair Evelyn Masters, age 87, died at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at her home. She was born May 28, 1930 in Rowlesburg, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Clarence E. and Grace (McCarty) Boyard.
Clair was a homemaker.
Her husband, Edward Ray Masters, Sr., whom she married September 18, 1948, preceded her in death May 8, 2012.
Survivors include two sons, Edward Ray Masters Jr. of Salem and Richard Masters of Asheboro, NC; two daughters, Lora Lea Masters and Evelyn Masters, both of Salem; a sister, Genevieve Moats of Meyersvale, PA; a sister-in-law, Betty McVay of Fredericksburg; ten grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.
A great-great granddaughter also preceded her in death.
