Cindy Lou (Lockhart) Thacker, 53, of Hepzibah, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at United Hospital Center following an extended illness. She was born in Clarksburg on January 23, 1958 the daughter of the late Lawrence D. Lockhart and Ardath Mearns Lockhart. She was preceded in death by her husband Norman Junior Thacker. Mrs. Thacker is survived by one daughter; Kasey (Thacker) McShann and husband Robert of Hepzibah; one son; Justin Hilliard of Hepzibah; one adopted daughter; Sarah Harris; two grandchildren; Ashley Thacker and Donovan McShann of Hepzibah; two adopted gradchildren; Ashley and Anthony Harris; two sisters; Donna Fuzy and husband Buddy; Ports Mouth, VA and Nancy Booth and husband Jim of Madison, WV and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mrs. Thacker was preceded in death by one brother; Larry Lockhart. Mrs. Thacker was a homemaker and also ran a home daycare. Cindy was a very loving and caring person, who gave freely of herself without asking anything in return. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed. At her request Cindy was cremated.
