Christopher Joseph DiSpina, 45, died Wednesday, December 9, 2015 while surrounded by his family & friends at Akron City Hospital, after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Akron on April 23, 1970 to Ron & Carole DiSpina, Chris was a lifelong area resident. He married Christine Frient in 1996, together raising two wonderful sons, Joseph and Vincent. He was a member of Nativity Catholic Church. A musician at heart, Chris loved to play the drums. His sense of humor and wit could make even the surliest miser smile. Chris was a wonderful husband, dad, son, brother, and friend to all who knew him.
Chris is survived by his loving wife, Chrissy; sons Joey & Vince; parents Ron & Carole; in-laws John & Judy Frient; sisters Stacey Kapper and Angela (Anthony) Shumate; as well as many loved nieces, nephews, family and close friends.
