He was born, August 31, 1976 in Akron, Ohio, the son of Harold W. Gardner and Karen S. (Kerby) Gardner Stallman. Chris had been employed as a roofer with Converse Construction in Guilford Lake for 14 years and was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a graduate of Marlington High School and had lived in Salem for 20 years. He was a member of the Salem AMVETS Post 45 and a proud supporter of the Marine Corps. Survivors include his mother, Sue (Eugene) Stallman of Dorset, Ohio; father, Skip H. W. (Becky) Gardner of Salem; two sisters, Kelly G. Gardner of Salem and Lori A. Foor of Salem; two stepsisters, Jo Gomoll of East Liverpool and Tammy Greathouse of Elizabeth, West Virginia; brother, Daniel J. Jones of Jefferson, Ohio; stepbrother, Bob Hillman of Leetonia; nephews, Scot D., Tyler J. and Dale J. Gardner, Shawn L. Foor Jr., Isaac N. Foor, Josh and Jason Gomoll and Austin Greathouse; nieces, Shawna and Corena Foor, Marissa Stallman, and Pheobe and Shaida Greathouse; and great niece, Gracie Gardner. Preceding him in death was a great nephew, Cash Gardner; uncle Leon Kerby; and his grandparents, Helen and Freddie Kerby.
