Mr. Christy C. Romero, 95, of Littleton, Colorado, passed away of natural causes on Saturday, Sept 26, 2015. He resided in Middlebury with his nephew Jeff (Beth) Romero and their 4 children, Matt, Sam, Molly and Sarah. He was born in Clayton, NM and moved to Colorado as a youth.
He is predeceased by his parents Trancito and Josefita (Alire) Romero, his 8 siblings, and his wife Lena (Roberts) Romero of 15 years. He is survived by his daughter Barbara (Steve) Eastburn of Colorado Springs, CO and their 2 children. Christy served proudly in the US Army during WWII, where he was an artillerymen with the 157th Infantry Division during the Battle of the Bulge.
He went on to work for the US Post Office and retired after 34 years. He was an avid baseball enthusiast, with the Colorado Rockies being among his favorite teams. He also played competitive softball after the war. He loved fishing, camping, and golf, scoring a hole-in-one which was a favorite memory. He loved his little dogs and traveling abroad when he could.
