Boxborough, MA –ROYER – Christine L. Royer, 60, passed away peacefully on the morning of Thursday, October 7, 2021 in her home. After a long courageous battle with cancer, she danced her way into heaven. In the days leading up to her passing she was surrounded by those that loved her the most. Her strength and fight until the very end of her earthly life was nothing short of amazing and extraordinary. She is an angel of inspiration to all who knew her. Born October 2, 1961 in Torrington; the loving daughter of Roland and Arline (Hoxie) Royer of Winsted. Christine graduated with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Sciences from Leslie College in MA. She had a successful career in Clinical Counseling and helped countless people. Many might say her words and actions on her own time were just as successful, if not more. She had a genuine love for people. She was a talented dancer and singer. She loved music and all things creative. Christine sang in The Mystic Chorale and Joyful Voices of Inspiration, both large groups of gifted singers from local churches in MA. Christine was very spiritual, full of love and she will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents, she leaves her dear and devoted partner of seven years with whom she made her home, Tom Westervelt of MA; as well as her close siblings, Denise Jones and husband Daniel, Ronald Royer and wife Gipssy and Allen Royer and wife Chris, all of Winsted. She leaves behind nieces and nephews, whom she adored; Ashley & Kyle Jones, Alec, Christian, Austen and Jacob Royer and Savanna Shelby. While Christine grew up in Winsted she spent most of her adult life living in the Boston area. Her magnetic and genuine light attracted many friends throughout her life. So she also leaves numerous amazing, beautiful friends that are an extension of the love of her family.
