Christine G. Peterson, 103, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and great-aunt passed away Sunday, June 26, 2005, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana. She had been living in Granger, Indiana, with her daughter, Linda Lazaridis and family since 1990.
Christine was born on a farm near Akra, North Dakota on February 21, 1902. She married Joe E. Peterson on May 7, 1943. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, her sisters, Sigrid Hannesson, Ann Doty, and Polly Snowfield, and by her brothers, Lee and Vardi Thorwardson.
Christine was a wonderful homemaker and her church was very important to her. She and her husband were charter members of United Lutheran in Cavalier. She was also very active in the Womens Group and the Altar Guild.
Christine was a blessing to her family. For many years we enjoyed and appreciated her wisdom and sense of humor. We all feel so thankful to have had her with us. She will be greatly missed.
