Christine Cobb “Chris” Johnson, age 83, of Stork Street, Morehead, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018, at her home following an extended illness.
Born August 30, 1934, in Logan, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ollie Burke Cobbs.
Chris’s husband of 50 years, Harold R. Johnson, whom she wed June 16, 1954, passed away January 23, 2005. Their son, Harold Johnson, Jr., preceded his parents in death in 1957 and a son-in-law, Michael A. Johnson on December 24, 2006.
Survivors include two daughters, Verna Sharp of Flatwoods and Joy Johnson of Morehead; two grandchildren, Krista Cahall and husband Cory and Phillip Sharp and wife Casey; five great grandchildren, Emerson Cahall, Evelyn Cahall, Elizabeth Cahall, Ethan Sharp and Abby Sharp; special friends, Erica Gordon, Mary and Kay Dowling and Elizabeth Pecco Justice, as well as her precious “kitty cats” who brought her great comfort and peace.
Chris was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
