Passed Tuesday morning July 28, 2020 at her residence. Christine was born February 15, 1929 in Lapeer, Michigan a daughter of Christopher and Myrtle (VanKleek) Dempsey. She went to Alma College where she met her husband, Charles Watson. Christine had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and was employed with Borgess Hospital for over 22 years before retiring.
Following her retirement, she volunteered at the hospital for 12 years. She was also a member of New Hope Church. Christine enjoyed traveling, reading, Michigan History, Formula One Motor Sports, and Michigan Football. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Charles Watson on December 4, 1999. Christine is survived by 4 children, Christine (Stephen) Nisbet of South Carolina, Catherine (Benjamin) Smith of Battle Creek, Carin Frederickson of Portage, and Charles (Ebelia) Watson of Richland; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
