Christian Leroy Gilbert, 105 passed away March 11, 2016 at Pine crest Nursing home in Hazlehurst,Ms. Mr. Gilbert was born December 26, 1910 to the late James Owen Gilbert and Minnie Nichols Gilbert. Mr. Gilbert lived his whole life in utica, Ms where in enjoyed raising cattle and planting a garden each year and sharing it with his family and friends. He was preceeded in death by four brothers John Wesley Gilbert, Henry Brewer Gilbert, James Everette Gilbert and Blanford Brian Gilbert, two sisters Dorris Gilbert Chapman and Minnie Grace Gilbert Payne. He is survived by 3 nephews Ray Gilbert, William Gilbert, and James Everette Gilbert and a niece Christian Vance and other great nephews and nieces.
