Christian Friedrich “Fritz” Moeller, 80, passed away in Indianapolis, IN on Sept. 20, 2013.
The son of a German immigrant, Fritz was born on March 28, 1933 in Indianapolis, IN. He graduated from Southport High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Sociology from Butler University. He then pursued graduate studies at Butler University and Christian Theological Seminary. He is a distinguished veteran of the Korean War, and while stationed in Korea, he personally funded the construction of an orphanage to serve the needs of blind Korean children.
Fritz is survived by wife and lifelong friend Helen Hardegen Moeller; beloved father of Carol Moeller (James) Blume, Elizabeth Moeller (Kevin) O’Reilly; devoted grandfather to Esther Letha Moeller, Andrew Moeller, Bridget O’Reilly, Meghan O’Reilly, Brendan O’Reilly, Erin O’Reilly and Grace Blume. Loving brother to Carol Summers, Esther (Dr. Larry) Stanton, Ruth (Dr. William) Whitehouse, and further survived by many caring nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Fritz was preceded in death by his parents Christian Friedrich and Letha Chupp Moeller, and his sister Elinor Moeller Ryker.
Family and friends will remember Fritz fondly as a generous, kind, funny, free-spirited soul.
