Christian Elliot Chrosniak, 33, of Carlisle died Friday, November 27, 2015 at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD.

 

Christian was born October 3, 1982 in Buffalo, NY, a son of BG Kenneth D. and Gail (Strzelewicz) Chrosniak, of Carlisle.

 

He was a 2001 graduate of Carlisle High School and furthered his education at Grove City College, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology.  

 

He had been employed as a courier for PA Court Names and had also been a government researcher for the U.S. Army.  He was dubbed the Pub Mascot and enjoyed many friends and trivia at the Market Cross Pub, where everyone knew his name.   He was the quintessential N.Y. Yankees fan. 

 

Christian was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather:  Felix Strzelewicz and paternal grandparents:  Leonard and Eunice Chrosniak;  and uncle Ronald Kupczyk.

 

In addition to his parents, survivors include:  a brother:  Joshua (and wife Siobhan) Chrosniak of Carlisle; a sister:  Stephanie Chrosniak of New York City; sister of his heart:  Marnie (husband Vac) Trnka of Carlisle; nephew Josiah and niece Elle; his maternal grandmother:  Lorraine Bukowski (husband Michael) of West Seneca, NY; aunt and uncle:  Diane and Mandy Abrams; aunts:  Nancy Kupczyk and Debbie (husband Roger) Sundean; Godmother:  Joy (husband Bill) Rohring; Godfather:  Marshall (wife Lori Jean) Bolles; and so many loving cousins and numerous friends who were as dear to him as family.
