Sister Chimene Dangervil was born in Modèle Desdunes, Haiti on July 26, 1961, to her father, Danger Dangervil, and her mother, Sadila Sainvilus. Chimene Dangervil passed away at the age of sixty on December 29, 2021, after a long period of illness, which she fought valiantly.
Sister Chimene was an eminent businesswoman in Haiti. She owned a successful store in which she sold food and necessities. In May 2000, she immigrated to the United States in order to search for more opportunities. As soon as she came, she was determined to complete her studies. A few years later, she earned her GED from Irvington High School. She loved education and often supported students in Haiti by paying for their tuition. She also loved God and was determined to seek His face while reading His word. She enjoyed studying the Bible everyday with ASMIDET International Ministry and successfully read it cover to cover, all 1,189 chapters, in three and a half years.
Sister Chimene is survived by her two sons Youvens and Yvrantz Altidor, her granddaughter, Youveline Altidor, three sisters, Nicole Dangervil, Nerlande Dangervil, and Rica Dangervil and four brothers Marcaisse Dangervil, Waldin Dangervil, Watson Dangervil, and Archil Sainvilus. She has also left behind fourteen nieces and nephews named Marlina Dangervil, Marvrans Dangervil, Marcy Dangervil, Witney Charles, Bazlina Charles, Emmanuella Dangervil, Tahina Dangervil, Mirca Myrtil, Christelle Myrtil, Walgina Dangervil, Weden Dangervil, Ramiyah Dangervil, Tamara Dangervil, and Zuri Dangervil. She is preceded in death by her father, Danger Dangervil, her brother, Junior Danger Dangervil, and her sister Sylvia Dangervil.
Pierre Corneille once stated, “Death is a tyrant who spares no one.” Whether you are rich or poor, black or white, young or old, everyone will experience death. As Ecclesiastes 3:1 teaches us, there is a time for everything including, a time to be born, and a time to die. However, for those who believe in Jesus-Christ, those who have died will rise again on resurrection day. We believe that Sister Chimene Dangervil will rise again.
