Hopewell – Chester Robert Siebert, 89, entered eternal rest on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Clifton Springs Hospital.
Chester was born the son of the late Chester J and Mildred E (Dargush) Siebert on Friday, January 23, 1931, in Rochester, NY. He served our country in the United States Air Force from 1948 – 1952. He deployed to England, where he met his wife and married her on August 2, 1952. Chester worked for Mobil Chemical in Macedon as a plate maker, retiring in 1993. He was very proud to say he drove a school bus for 48 years for the Canandaigua School District. Being known as an all-around “fixer of everything,” Chester particularly enjoyed working on cars. He was able to take a car engine apart and put it back together like new. Chester was a good man and had a heart of gold. He was always helping anyone in need.
Chester will be remembered by his loving wife of 67 years, Gloria B Siebert; children Colleen (Michael) Infantino, Carole (Tom) Verhey, Christopher Siebert, Terri Lea Siebert (Jeff Langdon) and Kim Siebert; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Rona) Siebert; sisters Gloria Reeves and Betty Lou McQueen; many nieces and nephews.
Chester was predeceased by brothers Duane and Wendell Siebert.
