Chester R. Tague Sr., 92, of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at his home. He was born July 26, 1929, in Lafayette to the late Ray and Iona (Grabill) Tague. On February 1, 1951, he married Bess England in Lafayette and she preceded him in death on September 8, 2002.
Chester worked at Fairfield Manufacturing for 43 years and retired in 1991. He attended Romney United Methodist Church. Chester enjoyed camping, working in his yard, race car fan and loved spending time with his son, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving is his son Chester R. (wife Lori) Tague Jr. of Lafayette, grandchildren Christina (husband Michael) Bennett, Tiffany (husband Scott) Rainey, Chester (fiancé Lauren Becker) Tague III, great grandchildren Aaliyah, Sammy, Harley and Ephriam, step grandchildren Amanda (husband Fernando) Longoria, Sarah (husband Fred) Johnson, Lindsey (husband Dillon) Dishon, step great grandchildren Isabelle, Noah and Hank. Also surviving is his brother Vance Tague of Tuscon, AZ. Chester was preceded in death by a great granddaughter Chloe Bennett and his sister Jean Meeking.
