Avid fisherman and hunter
Mr. Chester H. Way, Jr., 78, of Woodbury died Thursday October 4, 2012 at the Lutheran Home of Southbury. He was the husband of Patricia (Wasdo) Way.
Mr. Way was born April 1, 1934 in Poughkeepsie, New York a son of the late Chester H. and Helen (Mitchell) Way, Sr. He was a US Marine Corp. veteran, having served in the Korean War. He worked as a driver for Milites Bread Company for 45 years. A devoted fisherman and hunter, Mr. Way taught his children and grandchildren how to be avid outdoorsman. He was a loving grandfather and family man.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his 7 children, Mark Way and his wife Lea, Todd Way and his wife Kathy, Linda Sundell and her husband Rich, Scott Way and his wife Tanya, Chester H. Way III, Patricia Ford and her husband Douglas and Lori Stango and her husband Michael, 18 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his sister in law, Jean Wargo.
