Chester B. Stebnicki, 92, of McCordsville, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 at Pleasant View Lodge. He was born January 6, 1925 in Toledo, Ohio to Paul and Frances (Nijakowski) Stebnicki.
Chester worked for Sears & Roebuck Co. for 34 years. He was a World War II Army veteran who received a Purple Heart.
Chester enjoyed drawing, hunting, deep sea fishing, traveling to Florida and had trained as a draftsman.
He is survived by wife Lorraine (Schneider) Stebnicki, whom he married January 11, 1947; children: Irene (Thomas) Holloman of Greensburg; Barbara (Larry) Ratcliff of McCordsville; Allen Stebnicki of Indianapolis; James (Vera) Stebnicki of Greenfield; Patricia (Marty) Garo of Mesa, AZ; Gail (Rick) Wisehart of Shirley; 3 grandchildren: David & Devon Stebnicki and Samantha Wisehart; numerous step-grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; numerous step-great grandchildren; 2 step-great great grandchildren. Chester was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Daniel, Helen and Clara.
