Chester Arthur Crowell, Jr. passed away at the age of 93, on April 22, 2014, at his home in Dahlonega, Georgia following a battle with cancer.
Mr. Crowell was born and raised in Cordele, Georgia. He served in the US Army Corps of Engineers during WW2 in the Philippines and participated in the post war activities in Japan. Following the war, he attended and graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in architecture.
