NEW HARTFORD –ALIANO – Chester Anthony Aliano, of Prospect Street, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2008. He was the loving husband of Anne (Wilusz) Aliano for 55 years. Born August 13, 1920 in Winsted, CT; the son of the late Joseph and Concettina (Adorno) Aliano. He served during World War II in the armed services overseas. He worked at Underwood Manufacturing for 10 years, and then opened his own barbershop, which he operated for 38 years, before reluctantly retiring due to illness. He thoroughly enjoyed meeting the many people that past through the barbershop doors, most often they became his friends. He served as a volunteer for the New Hartford Fire Department. In addition to his devoted wife, Anne, he leaves his loving daughter, Jacqueline Aliano of Meriden; a sister, Tina Carfiro of Winsted; a sister-in-law, Katherine Aliano of Winsted; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph Aliano and Frank Aliano.
