Cheryl N. Abbott, 65, passed away Monday, December 14, 2015 at home with her family and loved ones. She was born June 7, 1950 in Providence, RI, a daughter of Mark Theodore Jones and Lois Voila (Taylor) Jones.
She was a native of Providence.
Cheryl is survived by her husband Charles R. Abbott Sr., their 3 children, Michelle, Charles R. Jr., and Leonia, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was a Para Educator within Central High School and the Providence School Department for 16 years. Cheryl retired as MSgt with 22 years of honorable service with the US Air Force, 281st Combat Communication Squadron, Smithfield, RI.
In her spare time, you could find her traveling, working as a volunteer teacher of math and English, working with the senior citizens, and making the most amazing home cooked meals for family and friends. Her love and nurturing to all can never be replaced.
