Cheryl Elaine Couch Biegert of Meridian, Idaho died on Sunday November 5, 2017 from the affects of Primary Pulmonary Hypertension at the age of 71. Cheryl was born October 7, 1946 in Twin Falls, ID to James and Valene Couch. She was the eldest of five children; her siblings were Toni Couch Sheldon, Holly Couch Kelley, James Couch II and Bob (Robert) Couch. She graduated from Twin Falls HS in 1964 and then College of Idaho in 1968 with a degree in Elementary Education. Cheryl was crowned Ms. Idaho 1967 and represented Idaho in the Miss America Pageant. In June of 1967 she married Bradley Allen Biegert of Grangeville, Idaho. This past June, Brad and Cheryl celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their 3 children and 8 grandchildren in Maui, Hawaii.

In 1968, Cheryl started teaching at Hawthorne Elementary School in Boise, ID. During the summer of 1970, she and Brad moved to Bend, OR where she continued teaching elementary school and became mother to their 3 children; Bret, Brian, and Bethany. Brad and Cheryl then started a business in Bend, OR that resulted in their move to Southern California in 1981. They resided in San Juan Capistrano, CA until 1995, when they moved back home to Idaho to the beautiful town of McCall.

Her father James Couch and brother Bob Couch preceded Cheryl. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Brad Biegert; mother Valene Couch; son Bret Biegert, his wife Kirstin and grandchildren Braeden and Abigail; son Brian Biegert, his wife Angela and grandchildren Jordan, Keaton, McKenna, RJ and Laila; daughter Bethany Biegert and granddaughter Kendalyn; sisters Toni Couch Sheldon and Holly Couch Kelley; brother James Couch II; plus numerous nephews, nieces and relatives.
