Cheryl D. Stoner, 75, of Goshen, passed away after a lengthy illness on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at her home.
Cheryl was born on September 1, 1946 in Elkhart, IN to the late Robert J. Zong and Juanita E. (Baker) Zong.
Cheryl is survived by her daughters, Brooke (David) Prescott of Newport, NC and Dawn R. Stoner of Elkhart; brother, Jeep Zong of Elkhart; sisters, Cindy Calahan of St. Petersburg, FL and Gail Wilcox of Elkhart; grandchildren, Steven (Alyssa) Ross of Osceola and Darian (Matt) Tucker of Louisville; great grandchildren, Cora Ross and George and Luke Tucker; father of her children, Steven A. Stoner of Elkhart and her many pets.
Cheryl was employed in many office settings throughout the Michiana area, most recently in the accounting department at the Goshen Treasurers Office. She was a member of the Scottish Terrier Club of America, Evening Optimist Club, Euchre Club and Michiana Classic Chevy Club. Cheryl was an avid Pittsburg Steeler’s fan especially when her “boyfriend”, quarterback, Terry Bradshaw played. She enjoyed bowling and shopping in her spare time. Cheryl was a well-respected woman in her community and touched many lives. She will be remembered as strong willed and outgoing. Cheryl loved her great grandchildren and her scottie dogs the most.
