Chematia Nyoga Alianah “Tia” Marisin, 18, of Cassopolis, transitioned from this life to the next Monday evening, December 1, 2014 in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, in the presence of those whom she loved and who loved her.
She was born March 2, 1996 in South Bend, Indiana to David Marisin and Ky’sha Mitchell.Tia was passionate about her family, and giving and receiving hugs. She loved to draw, write, and read. Tia loved music and her hats. She was a student at Michigan Career and Technical Institute studying culinary arts. Tia lived by the credo to love who you are without letting anything or anybody bring you down.
Family and friends will greatly miss Chematia. She leaves to mourn her mother, Ky’sha Mitchell of Cassopolis; her father, SFC David (Lora) Marisin of South Korea; seven siblings, Maliah Marisin, Briah Barnes, Jasmine Marisin, Liseli Marisin, Kayla Marisin, Alana Marisin, Kahjal Marisin; maternal grandparents, Dana (Otis) Irving of Elkhart and Douglas Mitchell of Dowagiac; paternal grandmother, Brenda Dhaeze of Indianapolis; maternal great grandparents, Chaquitta (Marvin) Mitchell of Cassopolis, Alvernon Danzy of Cassopolis, Rebecca Mitchell of Vandalia, Jerry Mitchell of Eau Claire; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
