Charlotte Elizabeth Martin Scott, our loving mother, aunt, friend, and Granny, went back home on October 27, 2018. She was born in Eagle Springs, North Carolina on April 24, 1932 to Janie McNeil Martin and Albert Mitchell Martin.
She met Cornelius Scott in 1955 and it was love at first sight. They married in 1957 and purchased a home in 1964. Charles was born in 1962 and Craig in 1969. Charlotte loved to travel. The family took many vacations; Lake George, California, Cape Cod, and the family home in Eagle Springs were a few of the destinations.
She was a proud, lifelong member of Newman United Methodist Church. She taught Sunday School for many years and loved to watch her students grow into adulthood.
Charlotte is survived by her sons Charles and Craig; daughters-in-law Dawn and Renee; five grandchildren Tyler, Stephon, Ian, Vaughn, and Sarai; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and friends.
