Charlie Thomas Bennett Jr. (Pete), 47 went home to be the Lord on January 3, 2017 in Houston, Texas. He was born in Bridgeton, New Jersey to Charlie T. Bennett Sr. and Agnes L. Bennett. He was the oldest of three children.Pete’s church foundation started at birth at Bethel Pentecostal Church. When the family moved his membership changed to First Union Baptist Church where he was baptized in the late 1970’s. We then relocated to Houston, Texas; he became a member of Lakewood Church and an active member in the youth group.Greenhouse International Church became his church home in 2008 where he remained a member until God called him home.The Bennett family relocated to Houston, Texas in 1981. Pete attended school in Aldine School District and later at North Harris County College. He went on to become a truck driver for B&H Trucking, where he remained employed for many years.Pete had a joyfully personality, sweet and kind, but more than anything he loved spending time with his family. He devoted a lot of his time to his nieces and nephews and treated them just like his own children.He spent most of his time racing cars and working on his 1969 Mustang, but his passion was riding motorcycles. His love for riding led him to become one of the original founders of “Third Coast Strokers” a prominent motorcycle club in Houston, Texas.Pete was preceded in death by his grandparents Willie Jackson Bennett and Anna Bell Bennett, his Aunt Lyshon Lincoln and his cousin Kevin Gould. He leaves to cherish his memory, his father Charlie T. Bennett, his mother Agnes L. Bennett, his sister Michaela (Lynn ) Bennett, brother Keith L. Bennett. His nieces, Hannah, Keianna, Keiarra, his nephews, Dunstan, Charles (Chase ), Jamarcus, Kobe, Nathan and a host of Aunts, Uncles, cousin, friends.
