Charlie graduated from Baptist Bible College and Ivy Tech University.
He was honorably discharged from the US Army after serving in the Vietnam War from 1967 until 1970.
In July of 1998, Charlie met Karen, then on April 18, 2007, he married Karen Cadwallader in Lebanon and she survives.
Charlie worked as a Fiber Optic Inspector in Construction.
He was a member of Wea Ridge Baptist Church and enjoyed Playing Cards, bbqing and spending time with family.
Surviving with his wife and mother are daughter, LaKay Cornell of Saint Augustine, FL, daughter, Charolee (Mark) McKnight of Hamden, CT, son, Jeigh Murphy of Saint Augustine, FL, daughter, Samantha (Brian) Lanzarone of Linden, daughter, Tina (Jeromy) Grenard of Lafayette, brother, Dale (Susan) Murphy of Hermitage, MO, sister, Sandra Norman of Springfield, MO and sister, Cynthia Ford of Springfield, MO. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren.
