Charles W. Marrow, Sr., 87, of Danbury, CT passed away at home on February 19, 2022.
Born in Stamford, Connecticut on October 13, 1934, he was the son of Ira C. Marrow, Jr. and Ellen Shelgren Marrow. Charlie attended the Stamford Public Schools, graduating from Stamford High School in 1952. He enlisted in the Navy at the age of 18 and traveled the world, working on reconnaissance flight missions during the Cold War.
He married Alva A. Nilsson in 1959, and together they had three children who survive him: Charles, Jr. (Terry) of Macungie, PA; Wayne, of Danbury; and Amy Lee of Phillipsburg, New Jersey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and his life-long friend, Jack Dibble of Barnard, Vermont.
He was predeceased by his wife, his parents, his brother, Ira, Jr., and his sisters, June, Muriel, and Claire.
