Low, Charles StuartBay City, MichiganThe son of Scottish immigrants, the late Charles Robbie and Beatrice Watt Low,passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his family. Age 84 years. He was born December 8, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan. Charles graduated from Mackenzie High School in Detroit, enlisted in the United States Navy V-12 Program, was commissioned as an ensign at the age of 19. He graduated from University of Michigan (GI Bill), was a member of the Varsity Track Team and Delta Sigma Pi fraternity. Charles was employed by Ford Tractor Operations (international division) from 1949 to is survived by his wife Jane, four step children; Susan, Jacqueline, John, Thomas and their spouses, eight step grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, one sister; Beatrice Notley of Shawnee, KS, one nephew; Charles Stuart Notley and his wife Kathy of Leesburg, VA, two nieces; Laura Ellen Notley of Kansas City, MO and Marianne Day Notley and her husband Robert McAnany of Shawnee, KS and two grandnephews; Charles McAnany and Michael . Low was a member of the St. Andrew’s Society, served as Chairman of Board of Trustees, was past President, Treasurer, Trustee, Chairman and Co-Chairman of the Society’s Annual Highland Games. He was also a member Clan MacLaren Society of North America, President of the U of M Alumni Club of Detroit, a member of the letter winners’ M Club for varsity athletes and an avid golfer. Charles served as a Trustee and Board Member of Bloomfield Township for nine years and served on the Bloomfield Township Planning Commission for seven attend milestone occasions of family members and to maintain family ties was of great importance to him. He will be remembered for the jokes and stories he had for all occasions. Charles was a man of strong character, great integrity, thoughtful, generous and proud of his Scottish heritage. He was also a very loyal fan of the University of Michigan football team and never missed a home game. Family and personal activities were always scheduled around home games!At the request of Mr.
