Charles Robert Helbing, a resident of Ellicott City, passed away on August 21, 2018 at his home. He was 79. He was born on October 11, 1938 to the late Charles and Mary Helbing in Baltimore. He graduated from Poly Tech High School in Baltimore and University of Maryland College Park receiving his Bachelors degree.
Charles was all about SPORTS, SPORTS, SPORTS. He was a HUGE Ravens fan, golfer, loved going to the beach and enjoyed trivia.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years Judith Helbing; loving sons Robert Helbing and his wife Mora, and Thomas Helbing and his wife Christine; step-children Diane Kreft and her husband Matthew, Pamela Hayes-Bohanan and her husband James, and John Hayes. He is also survived by his grandson Ryan and step grand-children Joseph and his wife Elizabeth, Katherine, Harvey, Justin, Eli, the late Evan, Jory, Megan, and Samantha.
