Charles Richard Partridge, 91, of Martinsville, VA, died Monday, January 3, 2011 at Blue Ridge Manor of Martinsville. Born on March 22, 1919 in Berkshire, NY he was the son of the late Charles A. Partridge and Grace Darmony Partridge. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Helen Best Partridge and three sisters, Arloa Partridge, Cora Lusk and Lucie Sears. Mr. Partridge retired from I.B.M. as a model maker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Carole Ann Lynch and David Lynch of Bassett, VA; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Partridge, Jr. and Sherry Partridge of Madison, MS; five grandchildren, Douglas Lynch, Laura Soetaert, Shannon Short, Kelly Vest and Erin Hill and 14 great-grandchildren.
