Charles L. Reismiller, 87, of Anderson, passed away June 4, 2013, at Community Hospital, Anderson. He was born on October 7, 1925, in Green Township, Indiana, and resided most of his life in Anderson.
Charles served his country in the Navy during WWII during the Philippine Liberation. He received the Victory Medal, Assisted Pacific Area Campaign Medal, the American Area Campaign Medal, and Philippine Liberation Medal. He retired from Plant Security for the Delco Remy Division of General Motors. He was a member of the Madison County Bicentennial, Stamp Club Co-founder, and VFW Post #266.
Charles is survived by his loving spouse whom he married March 1, 1947, in Fairmount, Cecilia Ritter Reismiller, of Anderson, IN; son, Alan W. Stephanie Reismiller of Vero Beach, FL; siblings, William Reismiller of Anderson, IN, Carl E. Wanda Reismiller of Gas City, IN, Sylvia Taylor of Covington, IN, Mable Mott, Cornella Don Mansbarger of Converse, IN, Betty Jerry Isely of Grandview, KS and Mary Clouse of Fairmount, IN; granddaughters, Katelyn Reismiller and Kyleigh Reismiller of Vero Beach, FL; several nieces and nephews; one aunt; and two cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Morris Reismiller; father, Shirl Reismiller; siblings, Charlotte Reismiller, Paul Reismiller, and George Reismiller.
